No fewer than four people were killed in a deadly terrorist attack on a Nigerian Immigration Service facility at the Kangiwa border in Kebbi State. The victims included a local watchman and three on-site contractors. According to a statement issued on Sunday by NIS spokesperson Kenneth Udo, the attack occurred on Friday evening at 7:20 pm and caused severe damage to the facility’s security systems. The death of a teenage boy provoked violent protests in a city in northwest China, according to the BBC, which obtained authenticated video.  Protesters are seen throwing things at police and policemen hitting several demonstrators in Pucheng, Shaanxi province, according to social media videos. Three people were slain when suspected cultists stormed the Igbogene Community in the Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.  The attack on Wednesday night, about 8 p.m., is the first in nearly a year, following the state government’s revamp of its security infrastructure, including the founding of the Community Security Corps. The armed cultists, numbering around ten, murdered Donaldson Mison, 28, Addy Mulan, 27, and Greenboy Dudella, 29, all male members of the Igbogene community. The United States Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a last-minute bid by President-elect Donald Trump to halt sentencing in his hush money case. On a 5-4 vote, the Supreme Court, which includes three justices selected by Trump, denied his emergency motion to stop Friday’s sentencing.
