The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced on Sunday the release of 3,921 outstanding 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results. Muhammad Bello, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Gombe State, disclosed that Yahaya Buba, the uncle who amputated his 21-year-old nephew’s arms, will be prosecuted for attempted murder.  In a chat with newsmen in Gombe, Bello lamented Adamu Mohammed’s hands being tied for allegedly stealing a phone. The Kogi State Government has reported the rescue of the remaining eight kidnapped Confluence University of Science and Technology students in Osara.  According to our source, the students were rescued in a forest in Kwara State as part of a joint effort with the state administration. Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has urged the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to reconsider the planned statewide strike on Monday.  Mohammed issued the call on Saturday, following discussions with Abia State Governor Alex Otti, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, and members of the Peoples Democratic Party National Working Committee. A Nigerian soldier identified as Daniel Somtochukwu has complained over the alleged arrest, brutalization, and torture of residents of Obikabia by operatives of the Nigerian Army.
