Most countries are not on track to even meet emissions

Global investment of $2.7 trillion a year is needed to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 and prevent temperatures from rising above 1.5 degrees Celsius this century, a report by consultancy Wood Mackenzie said on Thursday. The BEDC has confirmed that one of its technical staff members sustained injuries following an electrical incident in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), which runs Nigeria’s national grid system from Osogbo in Osun State, has once again plunged the country into darkness.
