The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has hailed Nigerian sprint queen Tobi Amusan for her incredible triumph at the just-concluded Diamond League last weekend. Amusan took the first position at the Oregon Diamond League on Sunday night. The 100-metre women’s hurdles record holder previously won the title in 2021 and 2022. The Ekiti state police command has arrested eleven persons suspected to have participated in the attack on a police station in Ikere, Ekiti, during the #EndSARS protest in 2020. The suspects, which include a young lady, were among 17 people apprehended for various crimes in the state and paraded to the newsmen yesterday at the command’s headquarters in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
