The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that Nigeria’s Ministry of Education has proposed extending the scheme’s duration from one to two years. Nicholas Ukachukwu, a former member of the house of representatives, has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial ticket for the Anambra governorship election. Ukachukwu clinched the ticket at the party’s primary election on Saturday, defeating his closest rival, Valentine Ozigbo, and other contenders by a landslide. The Labour Party has suspended its Anambra 2025 governorship primary election scheduled for today, Saturday, April 5, 2025, indefinitely. The suspension was consequent upon Friday’s  long-awaited verdict of the Supreme Court which sacked the national chairman of the Labour Party Julius Abure, report said.
