The NCC’s Director of Public Affairs (DPA), Dr Ikechukwu Adinde, made this known in a statement on Sunday in Abuja. Adinde quoted the latest advisory released by the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) established by the NCC, as saying: “The fact that car remotes were categorised as short-range devices that make use of Radio Frequency (RF) to lock and unlock cars informed the need…
Chelsea defended their Women’s FA Cup crown and completed the Double in dramatic fashion as Sam Kerr scored the winner against Manchester City in extra time in front of a record crowd at Wembley Stadium. Kerr, who put Chelsea 1-0 up in the first half, kept her cool to slide in a deflected winner after City had twice come from behind. Emma Hayes’ side, who won a third successive Women’s Super League title last weekend, were 2-1 up in normal time before substitute Hayley Raso netted an 89th-minute equaliser. That came after Erin Cuthbert’s stunning strike had put Chelsea in…
Manchester City came back from two goals down for the first time under Pep Guardiola to earn a point at West Ham that means victory over Aston Villa on the final day will see them crowned champions. City’s grip on the Premier League title was looking distinctly shaky at the break as the Hammers led thanks to Jarrod Bowen’s well-taken double. But Jack Grealish struck for the visitors four minutes after the re-start and Vladmir Coufal headed Riyad Mahrez’s free-kick into his own net as City avoided defeat after coming back from two goals down in a top-flight game for…

By Erasmus Ikhide Yesterday, I watched little kids from age five and above in the streets of Sokoto city, Northwest Nigeria; destroying, looting, setting schools, churches, southerners’ homes and businesses alight, protesting against the arrest of a few monsters who burnt alive Miss Deborah Samuel who was accused of blasphemy as they chanted ‘Allah akbar’, meaning God’s Great. Interestingly, one twelfth of the protesting toddlers in their thousands were the children born at the time President Muhammadu Buhari came to power seven years ago! It’s on record that President Buhari and his APC minders actually used many more of such…

Abubakar, who is also the son-in-law to Aliko Dangote, Nigeria’s richest man, made comments on social media that death is the penalty for blasphemy. His tweets were in response to the killing and burning of Deborah Samuel, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, for alleged blasphemy. Angered by his comments, many Nigerians took a swipe as Azman Air for allowing a staff to make such outrageous comment. In response, Azman Air, sent out a public notice…
