The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says only three elected ad-hoc delegates per ward and one elected national delegate per local government will vote at its forthcoming primaries and national convention. The party made the declaration in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday by its National Organising Secretary, Mr Umar Bature. Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Friday, May 20, 2022 convicted and sentenced a former Special Assistant to Mr. Dan Abia, erstwhile Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, George Turnah, to four years imprisonment. Police and the Football Association are investigating after Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira was involved in an altercation with a fan following their Premier League defeat at Everton. Television footage showed him being taunted by an Everton supporter as fans ran on to the pitch at full-time. Vieira appeared to kick out at the fan before being ushered away by other supporters. The Federal Government says it has resumed payment of over N9.24 billion to 76,107 beneficiaries of Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme across the six local government areas in Kebbi. The National Coordinator of the programme, Hajiya Halima Shehu, announced this during a courtesy visit to Governor Atiku Bagudu in Birnin Kebbi. The Delta State Government has approved the sum of N5.1 billion for the construction of an International Conference Centre in Asaba. The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Thursday in Asaba.
