Sixty Nigerian students of a private university in India have fled the campus after they were beaten and abused on the football field and in their hostel. The foreign students of GD Goenka University said they feared for their lives and were staying in various places in Delhi for the time being. Manchester United footballer Mason Greenwood has been remanded into custody after appearing in court charged with attempted rape. The 21-year-old was also charged with assault and repeatedly engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour. He was arrested in January amid allegations surrounding images and videos that emerged online. The forward, from Bowdon, Greater Manchester, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) says the nation’s advertising industry loses over N120 billion annually to the production of advertising, advertisement, and, marketing communication materials outside the country. Police say bundles of cocaine washed up on a beach in Tan-y-Bwlch are worth about £42m. A large number of black bags tied to plastic tubs were found by passers-by on Tan-y-Bwlch beach near Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, on 1 October. More bundles were later found and all are thought to contain cocaine. Dyfed-Powys Police said the haul weighed about 1,200kg and warned the public not to touch any more if it washed up, but to contact the force.
