The National Democratic Institute (NDI) and International Republican Institute (IRI) have announced the joint deployment of a international election observation mission (IEOM) to Nigeria. The 40-member delegation, comprised of political and civic leaders, elections experts, and regional specialists from 20 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America, received accreditation from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to observe the February 25 elections. Nurses to begin nationwide strike

Eighteen nurses from Nigeria practicing in Texas, United States have been charged to court for obtaining educational credentials through fraudulent means. The Texas Board of Nursing filed formal charges against 23 nurses practicing in the US with forged certificates. In a sting operation dubbed ‘Operation Nightingale’, the Board noted that it is authorized to file Formal Charges against a nurse if probable cause exists.
