Nigerian Army court sentences soldier to death for killing tricycle rider

A Nigerian soldier, Lance Corporal Nwobodo Chinoso, over the weekend killed the army commander of the Forward Operating Base, Rabah, Sokoto State, Lt. Sam Oladapo. Chinoso, also shot the FOB Rabah Command Sergeant Major (CSM), Sgt. Iliyasu Inusa, and another private soldier, Attahiru Mohammed, after he had killed Oladapo. After killing his army colleagues, Chinoso turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. The doctor, who delivered Master Sylvester Oromoni of Dowen College, Lagos, at birth, has testified that the student did not have any underlying illness. The doctor, Henry Aghogho, said on Monday that Oromoni was born on Dec. 4, 2009, without any underlying medical condition.
