Bauchi Police Command have neutralised two suspected kidnappers at Rafin Gora in Ningi Local Government Area and rescued their victim. Police spokesman, SP Ahmed Wakil, stated on Sunday in Bauchi that the gun-wielding assailants invaded the home of a resident at Rafin Gora and attempted to kidnap his 28-year-old son. “The victim resisted the kidnap attempt and was shot multiple times in his lower abdomen while trying to escape. “Police operatives in conjunction with a local vigilance group mobilised to the scene to confront the kidnappers who welcomed them with sporadic gunshots,” he stated. The Nigeria Police Force has denied allegations that it is owing personnel that participated in the February 25, presidential and national assembly elections their duty allowances. The Force spokesman, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, communicated this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says that Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) will be deployed in the March 17 gubernatorial and state legislature elections. The guarantee was given by the commission’s chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, during Saturday’s meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) at it’s headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria capital. Abdullahi Abacha, one of the sons of Nigeria’s late military dictator, General Sani Abacha has died in his sleep, a family member has revealed. His sister, Gumsu Sani Abacha revealed that her brother had passed on and will be buried on Saturday. In a post on her social media account hours ago, she called for prayers for her brother. “Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un.
