Three US Marines died in an aircraft crash off the coast of northern Australia on Sunday while transporting troops during a routine military exercise, officials said. Five others were “transported to Royal Darwin Hospital in serious condition”, US Marine Rotation Force – Darwin said in a press release. They were among 23 US Marines on the MV-22B Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft when it crashed, the statement said, adding the cause of the crash was being investigated. Peace Asukwo, 38, was on Friday, arraigned before a Lagos Federal High Court by National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for allegedly using underage girls for prostitution. The defendant was arraigned before vacation judge, Justice Akintayo Aluko. A white man armed with a high-powered rifle and a handgun killed three Black people at a Dollar General store in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday, before shooting himself, in what local law enforcement described as a racially motivated crime. “This shooting was racially motivated, and he hated Black people,” Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Russian investigators said on Sunday that genetic tests had confirmed that Yevgeny Prigozhin, chief of the Wagner mercenary group, was among the 10 people killed in a plane crash last week.
