YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul is set to return to the ring on December 24 in Dubai, almost a year after being knocked out by former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
The 29-year-old American revealed his comeback on Thursday, confirming he will headline a Christmas Eve boxing event, though his opponent has not yet been announced.
Paul has not fought since Joshua stopped him in the sixth round of their heavyweight clash in Miami on December 19, 2025. He sustained a fractured jaw during the fight and had to undergo several surgeries.
In a post on X, Paul stated that the loss had not shaken his belief in himself or his ambitions.
“All I want for Christmas Eve is boxing in Dubai. I’ve spent years proving people wrong, taking risks, and pushing myself against opponents nobody thought I’d face. Nothing that’s happened has changed my belief in myself or what I’m working toward.
“I’m hungrier than ever, and on Thursday, December 24, I’m returning to the ring in Dubai to start the next chapter of my journey,” he said.
Paul stated that several potential opponents were being considered but did not disclose any names.
“We’ve got plenty of names on the list; let’s see who signs the contract. Merry Christmas, Dubai. Santa Paul is coming to town, and somebody’s getting knocked out,” he said.
According to his promotional company, Most Valuable Promotions, additional details, such as Paul’s opponent, will be revealed in the weeks ahead.
Paul holds a professional record of 12 wins and two losses, with his only defeats coming at the hands of Joshua and British boxer Tommy Fury.
