World Bank says Nigeria needs to control inflation and stabilise its foreign exchange market to boost economic growth following currency reforms and petrol subsidy removal. Three killed in Ekiti banks robbery

Three people are believed to have been killed in the armed robberies of two new-generation banks in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on Wednesday evening. According to sources, the armed robbers struck about 4.30 p.m. and destroyed the doors of the banks with explosives before fleeing with an undetermined quantity of money. The Kano State Fire Service has said fire gutted 17 offices in Gwale Local Government Secretariat. The Public Relations Officer of the service, Saminu Abdullahi, confirmed the incident to journalists in Kano. Landmine blast kills two soldiers in Benin Republic

Two Benin soldiers were killed when the motorbike they were riding hit an improvised explosive in the north of the country, two security sources and a local resident said on Wednesday.
