Eleven persons lost their lives on Saturday in an auto crash at Kwanar Gujungu town in the Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa. The Jigawa State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Lawan Shiisu, made the disclosure in a statement in Dutse on Sunday. Former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, has denied granting an interview in London in which she begged President Bola Tinubu to grant her amnesty so that she can return to Nigeria. Diezani who served as a minister under Goodluck Jonathan’s administration noted that she never granted an interview to Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State who had claimed he spoke to her. “I did not grant an interview to anyone and therefore did not say any of the things attributed to me. Justice M.A Shambu of Bauchi State High Court on Thursday, December 14, 2023, sentenced one Ibrahim Abdullahi to one-year imprisonment for stealing the sum of N30,000 through fraudulent swapping of an Automated Teller Machine, ATM, card. The Lagos Command of Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has re-arrested a convicted Italian, Floriana De-Stefani, for failing to obey a court order upon her conviction by Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos.
