The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), Dr Olajide Idris has said the agency has begun investigating and responding to a strange illness identified in six wards in Sokoto State. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has warned that hotels, schools, and other establishments within the country that accept payments in dollars from their customers are at risk of facing arrest. Ibrahim Abubakar, a 33-year-old butcher has been arrested by men of the Adamawa State Police Command for stabbing his 25-year-old wife, Hajara Sa’adu to death in Sabon Gari-Futy, Girei Local Government Area of the state. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has disclosed that it had sold $10,000 to Bureau De Change (CBD) operators in the country to meet the retail market demand for dollars.
