The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has adjusted upwards it’s forecast for Nigeria’s economic growth for the year 2024 to 3.3 percent. This revision was announced in the IMF’s World Economic Outlook for April, which was released on Tuesday during the 2024 Spring Meetings of the World Bank and IMF in Washington, United States. The updated forecast marks an increase of 0.3 percentage points from the previous 3.0 per cent growth prediction published in the IMF’s January 2024 World Economic Outlook. Men of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested a 24-year-old suspect, Mmaduabuchi Okonkwo, for allegedly possessing and transacting in counterfeit naira notes. The air component of Operation Hadarin Kai (OPHK) has executed a precision airstrike on the hideouts of ISWAP terrorists, killing over 30 of their fighters within Kolleram village along the shores of Lake Chad. Everton have filed a formal appeal against a two-point deduction slammed on the club for breaching Premier League financial regulations, reports said on Monday. Nigeria’s headline inflation rate increased to 33.20 per cent in March 2024, the National Bureau of Statistics said.On a month-on-month basis, the headline inflation rate for March 2024 was 3.02 per cent, a decrease of 0.10 per cent from February 2024, when it was 3.12 percent.
