A law firm, Sovereignty Legal Practitioners, has threatened to file a class action against British Airways over the systematic inhuman treatment of Nigerian passengers using the airline. The police command in Akwa Ibom says it has apprehended two persons over suspected involvement in drug trafficking in the state. ASP Timfon John, the command’s public relations officer, who disclosed this in a statement in Uyo on Monday, said that some weapons were recovered in the process. The police in Canada have arrested Amaka Sunnberger, the woman in connection with an alleged online threat targeting specific members of the Nigerian community. The incident, which was reported to Canadian authorities by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), is currently being investigated as a suspected hate-motivated offence. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says a wanted former beauty queen, Oluwadamilola Aderinoye, has surrendered to the Lagos command of the agency after about eight months in hiding.
