The Nigeria Labour Congress has condemned the arrest and detention of its President, Joe Ajaero, by the Nigerian government, demanding his immediate and unconditional release. The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene and stop the intimidation, harassment, and threats directed at the organization by the Department of State Services (DSS). This comes after DSS officers allegedly stormed SERAP’s Abuja office today, demanding to see the group’s directors. Croatian police arrested dozens of football fans for fighting after the UEFA Nations League match between Croatia and Poland, the country’s interior ministry said on Monday. It said dozens of Polish fans attacked their host supporters and then clashed with police, following Sunday’s game in the eastern town of Osijek, in which Croatia beat Poland 1-0. Zamfara State government has disowned some documents claiming that it had released huge funds to some bandits’ kingpins for dialogue in the state.
