Justice Aisha Kumaliya of the Borno State High Court, on Monday convicted and sentenced an assistant director in Borno State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Usman Abaji to six months imprisonment for obstruction of justice. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for offering assistance to it in the investigation and prosecution of six Nigerians involved in Business Email Compromise (BEC) and wire fraud in the United States of America. The police in Lagos have commenced investigation into the alleged murder of a woman by her husband, Femi, who also allegedly killed himself. The incident occurred at their Victory Park Estate, Lekki residence where the couple and their young children moved into about three weeks ago. It was gathered that the man allegedly bound his wife, sealed her mouth, shaved her hair and stabbed multiple times with different knives on the head and eyes. The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has backed the candidature of former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for the top job of the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The regional body claimed that no African has assumed the position of Director-General of the Organisation since its creation on 1st January 1995. Teenagers are said to have booked tickets without intending to turn up so as to produce empty seats. But the Trump 2020 team said it had weeded out bogus reservations. Social media has been in a frenzy since the Friday June 19, 2020 announcement of the transition of N-Power Batch A and B scheduled for June 30th and July 31st, 2020 respectively.
