The Senate on Wednesday received a request for the confirmation of Suleiman Sani as career Ambassador-designate for the Federal Capital Territory. The President’s request was contained in a letter read on the floor by the Senate President Ahmad Lawan. A US woman has been shot while trying to remove a Nazi flag from someone’s front yard in the state of Oklahoma. Garfield County Sheriff’s office said the woman had been at a party nearby when she took one of two flags being flown outside Alexander Feaster’s home. Mr Feaster, 44, then reportedly shot her in the back with a semi-automatic rifle as she ran away. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 561 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Tuesday. The 561 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 25694. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 344 patients from isolation centers across the country with 17 new deaths reported.
