Black newborn babies in the United States are more likely to survive childbirth if they are cared for by Black doctors, but three times more likely than White Babies to die when looked after by White doctors, a study has found. Scientists in Germany have held three pop concerts in a single day to investigate the risks posed by mass indoor events during the pandemic. Chinese video app TikTok is taking legal action to challenge a ban imposed by United States President Donald Trump. Mr Trump’s executive order prohibits transactions with TikTok’s owner ByteDance from mid-September. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 601 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Saturday. The 601 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 51,905. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 882 patients from isolation centers across the country with one new death reported.
