The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) has commended the Federal Government for appointing Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo as Registrar /Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON). Fadolapo is one of the nine Chief Executive Officers recently appointed by President Muhammad Buhari. The commendation was contained in a statement signed by AAAN Publicity Secretary, Mrs Temitope Jemerigbe. The price of petrol has been increased to N151.56 per litre, according to Pipelines and Product Marketing Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC. In a statement on Wednesday by D.O Abalaka of the PPMC, stated: “Please be informed that a new product price adjustment has been effected on our payment platform. “To this end, the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) is now one hundred and fifty-one naira, fifty-six kobo (N151.56k) per litre.” Petrol: IPMAN okays N150 per litre He added: “This takes effect from September 2, 2020.”

BUA Group has signed French company Axens, which makes systems to convert oil and biomass into cleaner fuels, has won a contract to supply the technology for a multi-billion dollar refinery and petrochemicals plant in Nigeria. The economics of the project are a ‘no-brainer’: “Nigeria imports 90% of it’s petroleum products. We spend 35% of our foreign exchange on importing petroleum products,” BUA said. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 239 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Tuesday. The 239 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 54,247. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 497 patients from isolation centers across the country with 10 new deaths reported.
