The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 125 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday. The 125 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 54,588. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 188 patients from isolation centers across the country with 21 new deaths reported. The Federal Government has released the list of international airlines denied approval to operate in Nigeria as international flights resume on Saturday. The international airlines denied flying approval, according to the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, include Air France, KLM, Etihad, Rwandair, Lufthansa, TAAG Angola Airlines and others. The English Premier League on Thursday announced it has cancelled its contract with Chinese broadcasters PPLive Sports International after just one season.
