An unidentified commercial motorcyclist (Okada) died on Monday when a speeding vehicle knocked him down around New Farm area of Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State. A female passenger he was conveying also sustained injury in the accident, which reportedly occurred around 8 a.m. It was learnt that the Okada rider died on the spot, while his passenger was conveyed to a hospital. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich held secret investments in footballers not owned by his club, an investigation has discovered. The players included the Peruvian winger Andre Carrillo, who turned out against Chelsea in Champions League matches in 2014. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 195 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Monday. The 195 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 57,437. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 105 patients from isolation centers across the country with two new deaths reported. New FinCEN files published by America’s medium, Buzzfeed has detailed how Atiku Abubakar, former Nigerian Vice President triggered international suspicions around him and his wives. It all started with a $1,018,500 wire transfer on March 5, 2012 to Habib Bank Limited New York. The transfer, according to Premium Times, which shared the Buzzfeed report, was flagged in daily monitoring by the bank. An Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) report has revealed that the Bell 206-B3 helicopter with registration marks 5N-BW, which crashed in the Ikeja, Lagos state on August 28 downed because of inadequate fuel in its tank. According to the 15-page report released by AIB on Monday, initial findings include that the helicopter had a valid certificate of airworthiness and was topped to full-tank capacity on August 27 after which a 20-minute test-flight was conducted.
