The Upper Area Court, Kubwa, Abuja on Tuesday ordered Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to hand over their three sons to his divorced wife and their mother, Maryam Sherif, with immediate effect. Sherif had, last year, instituted a case against Abubakar, at the Upper Area Court, Gudu with number CV/41/2019, which was later transferred to the Upper Area Court, Kubwa, with number CV/16/2020 seeking the court to grant her custody of her three sons. Ten persons comprising six policemen and four civilians were killed, and 38 cops injured in Lagos during violent protests that erupted last week, the police have said. The police also said 16 police stations were burnt and 13 vandalised by hoodlums who hijacked the peaceful #EndSARS protests across the state. An unidentified person has been killed by a stray bullet in Lokoja, Kogi state while The Sun newspaper correspondent, Emmanuel Adeyemi, has been shot. Adeyemi was on his way to the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre in Lokoja, the state capital, when he was shot near the gate of the secretariat on Monday. The unidentified person was hit by a stray bullet around the Kogi Circle Roundabout reportedly died on the spot. Hundreds of irate youths on Monday defied the 24-hour curfew imposed on Jalingo, invaded and vandalised the State Radio station. The state Commissioner of information and reorientation, Mr. Danjuma Adamu, who visited the Taraba State Broadcasting Corporation (TSBS) premises to inspect the damage done to the station, condemned the action of the youths, saying the destruction had gone beyond the #EndSARS protest. More arrests were made on Monday as security agencies intensified manhunt for those who looted palliative items and raided private homes to cart away valuables. No fewer than 409 suspects have been arrested in Abuja, Kwara, Plateau and Benue states.
