Vice president Yemi Osinbajo summoned an emergency National Economic Council (NEC) meeting on Monday, October 26, 2020. Gunshot rented the air in Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi State on Monday has violence erupted in the southeast state. The violence which began over an hour ago caused panic in the city as residents ran in all directions. It is not clear where the gunshots were coming from or who was firing but reports monitored online said the Central Police Station Onuebonyi has been set ablaze by suspected hoodlums. Three women are feared to have been trampled to death during the looting of a massive palliative warehouse in Gwagwalada in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
