Forty suspects arrested for allegedly protesting at the Lekki Tollgate were Saturday arraigned before the Lagos State Mobile Court in Yaba. A driver was on Friday burnt to death in a diesel laden tanker explosion at Atoyo, along Ijebu Ode-Ogbere Expressway, in Ogun. Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson of Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abeokuta. The World Health Organisation (WHO) says it has continued to see a decline in COVID-19 cases globally, with a 17 per cent drop compared with last week. The WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, in a speech posted on its website on Friday, stated that the number of deaths had also reduced.
