The US has announced sanctions on Russians over the poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. The sanctions will target seven senior Russian officials and 14 entities involved in chemical production, US officials told reporters. President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mr. Halilu Ahmad Shaba as Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency. Buhari on Tuesday forwarded Shaba’s name to the Senate for confirmation. The request was contained in a letter dated 25th February, 2021, and read during plenary by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan. Boko Haram insurgents have attacked Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State and abducted at least seven aid workers. The insurgents during the attack also burnt the offices of the aid workers, destroyed government facilities, and hospitals belonging to NGOs.
