The move to amend the Principal Act in this direction came with the consideration of the University Teaching Hospitals (Amendment) Bill, 2021, which scaled second reading during plenary. Less than three weeks after 40 NSTA passengers were kidnapped, gunmen have again abducted over 50 passengers along the Tegina-Minna road in the Rafi Local Government of Niger State. Speaking on Tuesday in Minna, the state capital a local resident told journalists that the gunmen blocked the road at Kundu town, a few kilometres from Zungeru town. Suspected bandits have attacked Amotekun operatives and their vigilante counterparts on Ofiki Road, Aba Agudugu in Atisbo Local Government Oyo State. The Senate has approved the establishment of the Chartered Institute of Forensic and Investigative Professionals of Nigeria.  The approval came with the clause-by-clause consideration of a report by the Committee on Establishment and Public Service on the Chartered Institute of Forensic and Investigative Professionals of Nigeria (Establishment) Bill, 2021.
