Abia Government has confirmed Wednesday’s reported abduction of some students of the Abia State University (ABSU), Uturu-Okigwe by unknown gunmen. The Commissioner for Information, Chief Okiyi Kalu, confirmed the incident in a statement in Umuahia on Thursday. Kalu stated that the government had yet to ascertain the number and identity of the affected students, adding that two students escaped from the attack. UEFA is ready to take serious disciplinary action against clubs that signed up to the Super League and are yet to sufficiently distance themselves from the project according to reports by ESPN. A policeman has been killed in in Ebonyi on Thursday when gunmen invaded Obiozara police station in Obiozara local government area of the state. The attack coincided with a similar incident in Anambra State where two policemen were killed on Thursday as well. Pastor Dare Adeboye, son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Enoch Adeboye, has died at the age of 42.
