A soldier guiding a Chinese national been driven in a Toyota Sienna car at Adeniyi Jones and Aromire junction in Ikeja junction went berserk this afternoon and used the bayonet on his rifle to slash the tyre of motorists Saturday afternoon. The Returning Officers for Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area, Mr Lateef Ibirogba and his counterpart at Somolu Local Government, Amida Abudu have been attacked in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries for the Local Government election in Lagos state. President Joe Biden has released his first annual budget – a $6tn spending plan that includes steep tax increases for wealthier Americans. The bumper proposal would include huge new social programmes and investment in the fight against climate change. Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested eight suspected internet fraudsters. The suspects are Tobiloba Aramide Ogundiyan, Samson Alabi Afolabi, Adebayo Dolapo Olumide, Daniel Boluwatife Akinwunmi, Moses Segun, Kelechi Thankgod Felix, Adeleke Godwin Tofunmi and Adewale Dayo Victor. They were arrested on May 18, 2021, at River View Estate, Lekki, Lagos following credible intelligence received by the Commission on some individuals allegedly involved in computer-related fraud. A Kogi-based musician, Tanimu Yunusa has apologised to the Kogi State Commissioner for Work, Engr Abubakar Ohere, over allegation of attempting to induce and snatch his wife. A mass grave containing the remains of 215 children has been found in Canada at a former residential school set up to assimilate indigenous people. The children were students at the Kamloops Indian Residential School in British Columbia that closed in 1978. The discovery was announced on Thursday by the chief of the Tk’emlups te Secwepemc First Nation. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said it was a “painful reminder” of a “shameful chapter of our country’s history”.
