Former South Africa President Jacob Zuma has been sentenced to 15 months by the Supreme Court in the country. The jail sentence comes after the Constitutional Court found him guilty of contempt for defying its order to appear at an inquiry into corruption while he was president. The Federal Government on Monday announced the extension of the deadline for NIN-SIM data verification to July 26. This was communicated via a statement signed jointly by spokespersons of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and the Nigeria Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
