Julius Ejiogu was arrested by EFCC for forgery

The Benin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Tuesday June 29, 2021 arraigned one Julius Ejiogu before Justice F.A. Olubanjo of the Federal High Court sitting in Asaba, Delta State. Ejiogu was arraigned on a three court charge bordering on forgery. One of the counts reads: “that you Julius Ejiogu and one Engr E. Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state on Tuesday dissolved the State Executive Council, thereby dismissing all his political appointees. The dissolution was said to have been announced during the weekly Council meeting at the Executive Council Chamber, Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan on Tuesday. Nnamdi Kanu sentenced to life imprisonment for terrorism, escapes death penalty

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has been detained by the Department of State Security Services ahead of his trial on July 26 and 27. He was intercepted on June 27. The Senate has passed the sum of N329,963,491,523 billion as Statutory budget for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for the year 2021. The passage came after the upper chamber considered the report of the Committee on Federal Capital Territory on the FCT Appropriation Bill, 2021. Chairman of the Committee, Senator Abubakar Kyari (APC, Borno North), said from the projected revenue of N329,963,491,523, the sum of N74,323,382,813 is Personnel Costs; N58,728,614,466 is for Overheads; and N196,911,494,243 is for Capital Projects.
