The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has said the construction of a new double lane bridge on the border between Nigeria and Cameroon will facilitate free trade. Fashola said this on Monday while inspecting the newly constructed 1.5km, two-lane bridge on the border between Nigeria and Cameroon in Ekot-Mfum, Etung Local Government Area of Cross River. Seven officers of the Nigerian Navy have been kidnapped by armed bandits in Edo state. The Naval officers were waylaid along Sapele-Warri road while on transit from Delta to Kaduna state. The Nigerian Police Force and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) want Nigerians to stop offering their officers bribe and to report those engaged in the act. The two agencies were among participants at a one-day virtual stakeholder dialogue on “effective and sustainable strategies for curbing retail corruption” organised by the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption (PACAC).
