A legal battle may engulf the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the State Congresses that was held nationwide on July 31 on the back of a Supreme Court ruling on the Ondo state governorship election. In a suit filed before the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja High Court by a member of the party, Okosisi Emeka Ngwu, questions the legality or otherwise of the just-concluded State Congresses. The Nigerian Police has arrested several Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)/ Eastern Security Network (ESN) fighters in Imo state. The suspects were arrested after a foiled attack on Police stations in Omuma and Njaba towns. According to the police, they were able to gather information after arresting one Emmanuel Nnaji, a native of Awala in Ideato South Local Government Area.
