Six bandits suspected to have been the perpetrators of the attack on Tangaza community, Sokoto state, have been killed and set ablaze by angry residents of the community. On Saturday morning, the residents along with the vigilante members of the community, and Police officers, armed with local guns and cutlasses, combed the forest for the hoodlums. Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr Obadiah Mailafia is dead. It was gathered that the 64-year-old died at the National Hospital Abuja. British boxer Amir Khan has been removed from a flight in the US after a reported row over face coverings. Khan, 34, said he had been taken off the American Airlines plane along with a colleague by police when someone complained his friend’s mask “was not high enough”. Two persons have been killed by Fulani herdsmen in Yelwata community in Guma Local Government Area of the State. Bandits have released ten more Bethel Baptist students who were abducted from their secondary school in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state. It was gathered that the students were freed after spending 75 days in the camp of the bandits. The children were abducted on July 5 by a group of armed men who stormed the school premises without warning.
