Bandits have released ten more Bethel Baptist students who were abducted from their secondary school in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

It was gathered that the students were freed after spending 75 days in the camp of the bandits.

The children were abducted on July 5 by a group of armed men who stormed the school premises without warning.

A senior school official of the school told Channels Television that the students were released after an undisclosed amount of money was paid to the bandits.

He explained that following their release, the students were reunited with their parents and taken to the hospital for treatment.

    • 32 Bethel Baptist students regain freedom

The Kaduna state police command was yet to confirm the latest development as at press time.

Chronicle NG reported the abduction of 121 students of Bethel Baptist School, Damishi, Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna state.

So far, 100 students have been rescued while 31 are still in captivity.

Due to the outrageous demand of the bandits, some parents have lost hope on the retrieval of their children as they have already sold all they have to secure their freedom.
