The Nigerian Army has launched a new military operation in South-Eastern Nigeria. The operation, which is code-named ‘Operation Python Dance’ will span from November 27 to December 27, 2016. The one month operation is another means to forcefully engage any form of secessionist that will threaten the sovereignty of the state. South Korea’s President Park Geun-hye has said she has asked parliament to help her find a way to stand down. A plane carrying 81 people, including a top Brazilian football team, has crashed on its approach to the city of Medellin in Colombia. Reports say seven people were pulled alive from the plane but two have since died including the team’s goalkeeper. The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has inaugurated a modern automated car park at the Domestic Terminal 1 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos. The federal government has turned to Niger Republic for the supply of crude oil to the Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company, KRPC. A white man accused of killing nine black people at a Charleston, South Carolina church will be allowed to represent himself at trial, a federal judge has said. US District Judge Richard Gergel said 22-year-old Dylann Roof’s wish to be his own lawyer was “unwise”, but nevertheless granted his request. Nigerians have lost over N900 billion in examination fees to exam malpractice in the last 20 years, according to Exam Ethics Marshal International (EEMI), an NGO.
