Nigerian Navy dealt heavy blows to some gunmen on Saturday in Anambra State as they neutralised these criminal elements at Navy Junction, Awkuzu junction of the state. The gunmen who arrived in a red Toyota Highlander SUV, with registration number NSH 248 AE, according to a video recording of the incident, were all allegedly killed in the gun duel. The Permanent Secretary at the Niger State Ministry of Transportation, Dr Ibrahim Musa has been reportedly abducted by bandits on Friday night. It was gathered that Musa was kidnapped from his house along with his son in Zungeru, a town in Wushishi Local Government Area (LGA) of the state. A source close to the family revealed that the assailants gained entry into his house by breaking down the gate, after which they abducted him. The Director-General of the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA), Timothy Olawale has been confirmed dead after he slumped during a meeting in Abuja. It was gathered that the late Olawale died in a hospital on Friday. The NECA DG had been in Abuja for a meeting on Thursday with the board of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
