God told me RCCG council will one day hold meetings on the moon - Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E. A. Adeboye has made his position on taking COVID jabs public.

Adeboye said he has been inundated with messages asking what he thought about his church members taking COVID vaccines.

He urged his members to take the vaccination if it will put their minds at rest. “If you believe that getting vaccinated will put your mind at rest, then go ahead,” he said.

At the Holy Ghost Service on Friday night, Adeboye said, “I have been bombarded by many people who have been asking me: What is my stand on vaccination for Covid-19,” he said.

“Now, I have not said anything on that because it bothers on national issues and when something is on a national level; that belongs to the “Big Boys”, the bishops, the archbishops and not to a “small pastor” like me.

He said that, “It is a topic that the President of The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) could speak on.

“I am a man under authority and I kept my mouth shut. So, what I’m saying now, I’m not saying to Nigeria, I am saying it to you my children.

He noted that his views does not represent that of CAN or PFN but that of the RCCG.

“Safety is of the Lord,” he said, adding that, “It is of the mercy of the Lord that we are not consumed.”

“If we are to go along with what scientists said, the highly trained intelligent scientific people said: Oh God, we should be counting the number of dead by hundreds of thousands.”

“But there is a God who answers prayers and he is still here today. When he told me January 1st 2020 that the whole world is going to behave as a child in convulsion, I told you.

Adeboye revealed that, “When He (God) said later not too long after that the whole world will have “compulsory holiday” – I didn’t know all the details because it was in parts, we know what He tells us.

He noted that God is not a talkative and sometimes does not reveal all things at the same time.

He said, “So, those who are always prophesying per second, per second; I wonder which God is talking to them.

Adeboye said when coronavirus broke, he cried to God. “But as soon as it became clear that we are in for a very “serious trouble” and the scientist began to say: Hey, what is going to happen to Africa now?

“I cried to God; I reminded Him of the prayers of the elders that ‘a cow that has no tail, it is God who chases away the flies.

“So, I cried to Him – my God please – we have no help but you. Help us, we have an enemy we can’t see.

“He spoke back to me that: Son, I have heard your cry! He said to me: son, only those whose times has come will die from this Virus.

“So, let me tell you one thing first and foremost as I have said earlier this Year (2021): “Don’t be afraid”.

Adeboye warned that “Don’t be afraid does not mean be careless”.

“I mean that you know my stand on cleanliness. You know how much time we devoted to sanitation during our Annual RCCG convention.

“So, if this thing has taught you nothing at all aside being clean,” he said.

“I think that I read it in the news or newspaper some days ago that the average number of people in Nigeria who died from Snake bite is 2,000 a Year.

“If that is the case and coronavirus had been with us for two Years and the number of people who has died is less than 4,000 – That means that snake bite is killing more people than coronavirus.

“I told you then that this thing (coronavirus) is just one of the noisome pestilence.

“Now, having said that, I have never said to you that you should not take the vaccine.

“If you believe that getting vaccinated will put your mind at rest, then go ahead.

He then quizzed, “Daddy, are you saying that you too could be vaccinated?

“If there are nations in the world that say that I cannot come to preach the gospel there because of vaccination; “I will do anything for Jesus Christ,” he declared.

“If vaccination or no vaccination is going to hinder me from doing the work God has called me to do, even if they asked me to be vaccinated a hundred times, I will do it.

“So, don’t ever say that you heard from me that you should not be vaccinated,” he warned.

He then added that, “I laughed when I heard that some governors were making it compulsory for people to be vaccinated before they can go to church,” he added.
