This was disclosed yesterday by the FIRS Chairman, Mr. Babatunde Fowler, during a visit of the members of the Senate and House of Representatives Finance Committees to the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Babatunde Akiolu. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue has warned citizens against cattle rustling and attack on Fulani herdsmen in retaliation, noting that, they will face the law if they do. Ortom, who gave the warning at an emergency stakeholders meeting in Makurdi on Monday, urged the people to report any violation to appropriate authority for action. Manchester United have topped the table of the world’s 20 richest football clubs for the second year in a row, and tenth time overall, says Deloitte. Its Football Money League, based on season 2016-17, also shows the combined revenues of the 20 clubs has risen 6% to €7.9bn (£6.97bn), a new record. A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos Nigeria has ordered MultiChoice Nigeria Limited to pay Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria Limited/GTE MCSN the sum of N6 billion damages, as a result of copyright infringement. The Speaker of House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara, has said that the engineering profession has been infiltrated by quacks as “engineer” is ascribed to anyone wearing a helmet. The Ijaw Youth Council, Abuja Chapter (IJC) and allied youths group in the Niger Delta have appealed to the Federal Government to shelve its plans to wind down the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).
