Charles Soludo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA candidate has been declared winner in 17 local government areas out of the state. The result was announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the ongoing Anambra gubernatorial election. Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman retained his title with a unanimous decision win against Colby Covington in their rematch at UFC 268 in New York. Aston Villa have sacked manager Dean Smith after three years in charge. Smith, 50, leaves following Villa’s 1-0 defeat by Southampton on Friday, the club’s fifth successive defeat in the Premier League. Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced that the number of casualties in the collapsed high-rise in the Ikoyi area of Lagos has reached 42.
