The All Progressives Congress, APC, has alleged that the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chukwuma Soludo, and the Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano conspired to rig the Anambra gubernatorial election. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Monday, November 8, 2021 secured a conviction against former Chairman of defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina. Maina was sentenced to eight years in jail by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja. Charges leveled against him included operating a fictitious bank accounts, corruption, and money laundering to the tune of N2 billion. Six persons have been killed after an attack by a group of unidentified gunmen stormed Rijiya village in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital. It was gathered that several women and children were abducted during the attack which left many other residents of the community injured. A resident revealed that the bandits invaded the community around noon on Sunday with motorcycles.
