The Amaimo Community in Ikeduru Local Government area of Imo has earmarked N40 million to build a Divisional Police Headquarters to tackle security challenges in the area. The President of Amaimo Progressive Forum (APF), Mr Ugochukwu Asiegbu, said this on Sunday at the foundation laying ceremony of the divisional police headquarters. A group known as the Initiative to Save Democracy (ISD) has warned former aide of Goodluck Jonathan, Mr Reno Omokri, to refrain from attacking the vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo. Chairman, Senate Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity,  Sen. Benjamin Uwajumogu has commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s  economic development agenda leading to current rise in employment figures in the country. Uwajumogu gave the commendation in a statement he issued on Sunday in Abuja, while reacting to the July Purchasing Index Report (PMI) report of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
