The senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) Biodun Fatoyinbo,  has surrendered to the Nigerian Police for questioning over rape allegations levelled against him by Busola Dakolo. Recall that Busola Dakolo, the wife of Nigerian musician, Timi Dakolo had recounted how the founder of a Pentecostal church in Abuja allegedly raped her. Mrs Dakolo in a video explained how Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of The Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) raped her. The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, says that the ministry will give direction to international donours on what the country requires. Ahmed announced  this during a maiden meeting with Directors and Heads of Units of the ministry of Budget and National Planning in Abuja on Monday. She explained that she would soon convene a meeting with all foreign donors to present to them what Nigeria needed. The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, and the  Attorney General of the Federation,  Abubakar Malami, have differed on the independence of the country’s judiciary. While Malami insists the judiciary is fully independent, the CJN thinks otherwise. Minister of Transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has declared free transportation services for staff and management of the ministry. Amaechi said the decision was to help ameliorate the challenges faced by the staff in the discharge of their civic duties. The Federal Government of Nigeria on Monday affirmed its commitment toward reducing cost of shipping to boost trade in Africa. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo made this known at the Sub-Regional Summit on Unfair Shipping Surcharges and High Local Shipping Charges at the Ports of West and Central Africa in Abuja. Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari is not influencing ongoing investigation of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita. EFCC’s Spokesman, Mr Wilson Uwujaren said this in a statement in Abuja on Monday. The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has denied demolishing any mosque in the state, describing the information as false, orchestrated by mischief makers to create disaffection in the state.
