The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr Mohammed Adamu says all activities of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) remained proscribed in line with the Terrorism (Prevention) Proscription Order Notice of July 26. Mr Ifeoluwa Oyedele, Executive Director, Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), on Monday said communities in Ondo South Senatorial District would soon be connected to the national grid. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will visit Adamawa on  Tuesday Sept. 10 to inaugurate the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP). The plan which is to run from 2019-2028, is an initiative of the Federal Government in collaboration with States under the auspices of the National Economic Council (NEC). It is targeted at supporting the development of Nigeria’s livestock sector and will initially be implemented in seven pilot states of Adamawa, Benue, Kaduna, Plateau, Nasarawa, Taraba and Zamfara. Senator Orji Kalu says he will not lose sleep over the verdict of the National and State Assembly Petition Tribunal headed by Justice Cornelius Akintayo in Umuahia, Abia state on Monday. The National and State Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abia state has nullified the election of Orji Uzor Kalu as the Senator representing Abia North. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday, sought the partnership of Bayelsa traditional rulers in the efforts to conduct peaceful and credible governorship election in the state on Nov 16.
