The  Coalition of the United Political Parties on Wednesday said it received with angst the judgment of the Presidential Election Tribunal which upheld President Muhammadu Buhari’s election. South African authorities are allegedly frustrating the evacuation of Nigerians who are for the first batch of airlift from that country. Air Peace flight, which left Nigeria 11:30pm yesterday arrived OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg about 4:00am on Wednesday as Nigerians turned up for the airlift. The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has dismissed the petition by Atiku Abubakar and the PDP challenging the election of President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) has declared that there is no evidence that INEC transmitted the results of the last presidential election electronically to any server. The court, in the judgment still being read on the petition by Atiku Abubakar and PDP, held that the petitioners failed to prove the existence of an INEC server or that the electoral commission transmitted results electronically. The European Union (EU) is allocating an additional €300 000 (N102m) in humanitarian aid to provide life-saving treatment to undernourished children in Nigeria’s northwestern states of Sokoto and Zamfara. This was contained in a statement by Hilaire Avril, Regional Information Officer for North, West and Central Africa, European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), issued to newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja.
