A federal high court in Abuja has ordered the permanent forfeiture of funds allegedly linked to Winifred Oyo-Ita, former head of service. The particulars of the case were not read out in the open court when Folashade Ogunbanjo-Giwa, the judge, gave the order. Oyo-Ita is embroiled in a N3 billion fraud allegation, which Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is investigating. She has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. The Katsina State Command of Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, on Thursday says it has arrested two aliens from neighbouring Niger republic suspected to be armed robbers along with it Kongolom border post. The Comptroller, Bin Umar Yakubu Ahmed who confirmed the arrest while addressing newsmen in the state, said the duo were stopped around Koza Farin Gida area at an immigration post for a search but they tried to escape. The operatives of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Enforcement Unit on Friday raided a brothel around Mile 2 area and arrested 14 persons for alleged possession of illicit drugs. Chairman of the task force, Mr Olayinka Egbeyemi, in a statement, said: ”During the raid, five notorious miscreants and nine commercial sex workers were arrested with illegal drugs, and the brothel demolished” he said. In a move to send a very strong message, authorities of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU)  Zaria, have terminated the appointments of 15 lecturers over offences ranging from sexual harassment, negligence of duty and corruption. The offenders from various departments and faculties in the institution were subjected to internal mechanism of the university before their dismissal was officially announced. The whistleblower whose complaint has led to an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump is a CIA officer, US media report. The unnamed officer once worked at the White House, several US outlets said.
