Nigeria’s former attorney general, Mohammed Adoke, was on Thursday detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) upon his return home. The commission said in a statement that his detention was part of an investigation into one of the oil sector’s biggest suspected corruption scandals.
